Meena’s Journey from Cybercrime Victim to Cyber Safety Champion

Meena, a 32-year-old homemaker from Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, lost ₹25,000 to an online job scam. Unaware of cyber risks, she had no idea how to respond—until she attended a Cyber Security awareness session organized under the Solar Community Hub Program. Through this program, she learned how to identify online fraud, protect herself, and take action. Empowered with this knowledge, Meena filed an FIR with the Cyber Crime Department. The fraudsters were caught in Karnataka, and she got her money back. 

Today, Meena shares her cyber safety knowledge with others in her community. Thanks to Dell’s initiative, she has not only recovered financially but has become a trusted voice for digital awareness in her village. Meena’s transformation from victim to cyber safety champion shows how access to the right information can empower individuals to take control of their digital lives.
